BIKI AND I : HAUTE COUTURE

 THE GALA OF THE CENTURY : 15 DECEMBER 1958 AT L'OPERA DE PARIS

Before La Callas, they call me  FATSA !

After I lost weight,I want to be beautiful,Biki,Puccini's grand-daughter,is another heroine of the legend.She inherited his creative genius, her creations were celebrated all over Milan, later on she conquered  Italy and all the capitals of Europe.
--- I want to be Audrey Hepburn,I love Roman Holiday .

--- You are different,I am going to create gowns that only you can wear, trust me,Alain Reynaud, my son-in-law trained with Jacques Fath in Paris.

They design  some unique outfits that no one but La Callas can wear,wherever I go, day and night whatever I wear I create sensation.

For the Queen,at  Covent Garden Centenary Gala,Biki created  a smashing black dentelle outfit with a back very  low cut,a  unique creation ,at Madison Square for President Kennedy 's forty-fifth birthday another smashing gown that eclipsed  MM's outfit, after the show I stood in line next to Marilyn Monroe, that night she wore  a Jean Louis see-through gown, at Palais Garnier for the Gala of the century,with French President and Madame Coty,all the diplomatic corps and Le Tout Paris ,Brigitte Bardot,Zizi Jeanmaire and husband famed choregrapher Roland Petit,Charlie Chaplin and wife Oona,The Who is Who of Europe, Titta and I wanted it to be the Gala of the century, to show the Italians what they were missing,Luchino Visconti designed the show ,
for the first time in Europe's history a  show was telecast live to nine countries, the newly formed  Europe des Six and three other nations:I stood out,the woman,the voice,the gown.

 I would not have achieved that world recognition on stage and off stage without the elegance and style of her designs,they made me unique,Biki created Callas the fashion model that they wanted to see .
